What are the preparations for a Paediatric Ultrasound Scan?
To help make your child’s ultrasound experience as comfortable and relaxed as possible, we recommend bringing along a favourite toy or comfort item to help them feel at ease. Parents or guardians are encouraged to stay with their child throughout the entire scan to provide reassurance and support. For certain scans, such as abdominal, renal, or pelvic ultrasounds, your child may be asked to fast for approximately four hours before the appointment and arrive with a full bladder to ensure the best imaging quality.
